"Tenor Lawrence Brownlee and baritone Etienne Dupuis join Opera Rara’s Artistic Director, conductor and pianist Carlo Rizzi, in an exclusive London concert appearance featuring songs by Gaetano Donizetti and his contemporaries. As part of a year-long celebration of the 225th anniversary of Donizetti’s birth, Brownlee, Dupuis and Rizzi will explore repertoire that has been recently restored and rarely, if ever, performed in modern times. Promoted by Opera Rara, this recital launches the multi-year Donizetti Song Project, which will see the recording and performance of all the composer’s nearly 200 solo songs."
